We are currently looking for more volunteers! If you volunteer, you will be called on to help distribute food to the homeless, raise funds, recruit, and shop for food, as well as other tasks. Most of our communication is over the web, so make sure you have a working email, and it would be very helpfull to you and to Teen's World if you would just download and use Yahoo! 8.1 Chat, ( http://messenger.yahoo.com/ ) as that will be used for all online conferences. Every volunteer is treated as an individual, and all ideas are considered. Our Co-Directors exchange one-on-one emails with each volunteer, to make sure they are doing what they want to do. At the end of each year, all of our volunteers get together in a big group-chat, and suggest ideas for the next year's project. If the last project went well, and if enough volunteers are willing to continue with it, then we keep last year's project and add on another. Our goal is to be able to support several projects in the long run.
If you are part of a group or school that wants to help as a community service project, please contact Elizabeth. The age limits for schoolgroups are 4th-8th grades, and each group must have at least one adult chaparone for about every five children. But these numbers vary widely for different projects and age groups.
